The Chile Earthquake hit the mineral rich area of Chile injuring more than 100 and killing minimum of two people. It had a powerful 7.7 magnitude. There were two quakes on the same day.

There were no reported deaths though many people were injured. Nearby Buildings in the business district of the town were damaged and shops had broken windows. Ground liquefaction was accountable for most of the damage to structures, homes, and buildings.
