The Alaska plane crash took place near Ketchikan Island, a city in southeast Alaska. Five people were killed when this plane meant for sightseeing crashed. Alaska state troopers said four of the five people who died were from Oregon. It had four survivors, including Allison N. Smith, 3, of Tualatin; and Mindy M. Mayer, 60, of Oregon City. The pilot, Clifford Kamm, of Ketchikan, and another woman from Ketchikan also survived.
