Alice Orr Order Of Canada Award Winner Pilot Aviator Instructor
Marion Alice Powell Orr popularly known as Alice Orr was born on 25th June 1918 in Toronto, Ontario in Canada. She was a pioneer female pilot of Canada and created a history by being the first lady to start and run a flying school by taking her own initiative. She was a Canadian by nationality and was an aviator and instructor by profession. During the Second World War, she worked with and served the Air Transport Auxiliary and her dedicated effort towards her duty made her win the Order of Canada award in the year 1993.

Marshall University plane crash caused a lot of human casualty. Human destiny has its own queer and unforeseen ways of telling things. On November 14, 1970 at around 7:35 pm the Southern Airways Flight 932 crashed down a hill very near to the Tri-State Airport and killed all seventy-five passengers on board. The death list included the thirty-seven members of the Marshall University Thundering Herd football team who earlier cancelled the same flight and later re enlisted to board the plane.

Oshkosh crash took place on the 27th July in the year of 2007. The crash took place when two war birds had a collision on the south end of the north-south runway of the Wittman Regional Airport. The incident took place on a Friday and killed one person. It called for an immediate emergency in the airport authorities which took necessary measures so that panic can be avoided.
