Long Island Railroad 2 Trains Collide 1 Injured Service Halt 25 Min In Jamaica Pennsylvania Station
Two trains of Long Island Rail Road collide on the west of Jamaica station in the Queens section of New York City at 7:30am on 19th November 2008. Due to this incident, the railroad service between Jamaica and Pennsylvania Station in Manhattan was stopped for 25 minutes. One person was reported to be severely injured in this accident. The Long Island Rail Road also called with the short name LIRR refers to the commuter rail system, which provides its services in Long Island, New York, which is termed by the Surface Transportation Board as a Class II railroad.
