Golden State Warriors NBA Professional Basketball Team Oakland
Currently based in Oakland, California, the Golden State Warriors is a professional basketball team, which plays for the National Basketball Association (NBA). Originally known as the Philadelphia Warriors, it was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1946. It was then associated with the Basketball Association of America which became the NBA in 1949. The team was bought by Eddie Gottlieb from Peter Tyrrell in 1951.
