Native to the North American Grasslands, Prairie Dogs are basically burrowing rodents. Inclusive of their short tail, the adults grow up to a length of about 12 to 16 inches. Found in the neighboring countries Canada and Mexico, they are found in the western region of the Mississippi river in the US.
