The I-35 W Mississippi River Bridge, Minnesotas fifth busiest bridge carrying140,000 vehicles daily had collapsed. This bridge was completed in 1967 and maintained by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT). The 1907 feet (581 m) steel truss, eight lane arch bridge carried Interstate 35 W across the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Gonzaga University Spokane Cancelled Classes Record Break Winter Storm Hits City With 17 Inches Snow
Spokane, Washington currently faces a record break winter storm with 17 inches snow. The National Weather Service officials announced a "Condition Red" snow emergency in the city which highlights that the crews will provide their service non-stop through the day till the situation will be under control. As a result of this winter weather a number of schools and the Gonzaga University cancelled their classes.
