Aristarkh Apollonovich Belopolsky (1854 -1934) was a Russian astronomer. Born in Moscow, he got his degree at Moscow University in 1876. In 1878 he became the assistant of astronomer Fyodor Aleksandrovich Bredikhin (1831 -1904) at Moscow Observatory. Bredikhin crater on the Moon is named after him. In 1888 Belopolsky joined the staff of Pulkovo Observatory.
