
Laurie David was born carrying the name Laurie Ellen Lennard on March 22, 1958. She is basically an American environmental activist. She provides herself in the form of a trustee on the Natural Resources Defense Council and also holds membership of the Advisory Board of the Children's Nature Institute.
She is also a blogger making a number of contributions to the The Huffington Post. She entered into a marital relationship with Larry David who is the co-originator of Seinfeld as well as maker of Curb Your Enthusiasm. The marriage lasted for a span of 14 years and they filed for divorce on July 19, 2007. They opted for the guardianship of their two daughters in a joint manner. Laurie David got famous for her contributions towards the prevention of global warming.
She laid the foundation of the Stop Global Warming Virtual March as accompanied with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as well as Senator John McCain. Laurie David also turned up with the production of a number of other projects to highlight on the serious issue of global warming into conventional popular culture. She also led to the release of her initial book namely Stop Global Warming: The Solution Is You!
She also turned up with the comedy special called as Earth to America! for TBS, the airing of which was done on November 20, 2005 and included Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, Jack Black and many more. Laurie David not only came up with the Academy Award-winning documentary namely An Inconvenient Truth but also lead to the production of documentary called as Too Hot Not to Handle.
It was broadcasted on April 22, 2006 on HBO. Laurie David also made appearance in Big Ideas for a Small Planet which is an environmentalist documentary series aired on the Sundance Channel. The featuring of David was done in Glamour in October 2006 in the form of one of its “Women of the Year”.
Laurie David managed to get hold of the Gracie Allen Award for Individual Achievement as given out by the American Women in Radio & Television as well as the NRDC's 2006 Forces for Nature award for her efforts towards prevention of global warming.
