
Ohlone College refers to the community college that is situated in Fremont, California. The foundation of this college was laid in the year 1965. It serves as the main campus of the Ohlone Community College District. The inauguration of the satellite center namely Ohlone College Newark Center for Health Sciences and Technology was done in the month of January 2008 in Newark, California.
It got named officially as Ohlone College on June 18, 1967 and respects the Ohlone Indians belonging to the Costanoan tribe. The establishment of the Ohlone College Center for Deaf Studies and Special Services was done in the year 1972 and it started for 30 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. The college provides courses that help one to get hold of a certificate in Biotechnology.
