
James Earl Jones, a Hollywood actor will be receiving respect as he is selected for the Screen Actors Guild’s lifetime achievement award for his outstanding career as stated during the month of October 2008. He is considered to be a living legend and at present he is 77 years old. The president of SAG namely Rosenberg stated that they are privileged to provide the most reputed honor of guild to such an outstanding actor.
During 1992 the actor also won the US National Medal of Arts and after a period of ten years he was also selected for the honor at the Kennedy Center. On 25th January 2009 the14th yearly SAG Awards will be happening in Los Angeles. James Earl Jones was born in Arkabutla situated in Tate County, Mississippi on 17th January 1931. American by nationality he is a well-known film and stage actor and is famous for his intense basso voice.
He was born to Robert Earl Jones and Ruth. James Earl Jones joined the University of Michigan and also attended the Reserve Officer Training Corps where he turned out to be an outstanding student. He entered the field of acting at the Ramsdell Theatre which is located in Manistee in Michigan. He served as a stage manager and actor between the periods stretching from 1955 to 1957.
During the year 1955 he played the initial character of Othello which is derived from Shakespeare at the Ramsdell Theatre. During the year 1964 he debuted in the film namely “Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb” where James Earl Jones portrayed the character of a youth and slim Lt. Lothar Zogg whose work was to bombard while flying B-52.
He earned great popularity from his performance in the Broadway play based film namely The Great White Hope where he acted in the significant role of Jack Jefferson, a boxer. James Earl Jones also managed to obtain the Academy nomination as the Best Actor for the playing the role of Jack Jefferson. During 1982 he entered into the marital relationship with Cecilia Hart and the couple gave birth to a kid namely Flynn Earl Jones.
