
Heather Mallick an author, columnist, as well as a lecturer got disapproved by two National Post writers in the month of September 2008 for the remarks, which she made on Sarah Palin, who was chosen for the post Vice-Presidential candidate belonging to the Republican Party.
Heather Mallick was born in the year 1959 and is living in Toronto. She contributes a weekly column for the Website of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She imparts education at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in the fields of politics as well as writing. She also gives speech on Human Rights and Canadian nationalism.
Heather Mallick also contributes a monthly column for the magazine namely Chatelaine. She was brought up in Kapuskasing town, which is situated at the northern part of the Ontario. She is the daughter of a medical doctor. She successfully managed to receive a Master of Arts degree in the field of English Literature from the University of Toronto. Further she joined the Ryerson University and got hold of undergraduate degrees in the field of journalism.
After the completion of graduation she joined the job of a copy editor in a financial daily newspaper of Canada called Financial Post. Heather Mallick further worked in the form of a news editor for this newspaper. She came into the limelight in the form of a writer as well as book review editor for the Sunday edition of a daily tabloid newspaper called Toronto Sun. She received Canadian Newspaper Association National Newspaper Awards twice, initially in the year 1994 for critical writing and further in 1996 for her contribution towards feature writing.
She also penned down for The Globe and Mail and for various matters relating to lifestyle. The publication of her initial book namely Pearls in Vinegar was done in Canada in the month of September, 2004. The publication of her book called Cake or Death: The Excruciating Choices of Everyday Life, which is comprised of latest essays for Knopf Canada was carried out in April 2007. She tied her marital knots with a journalist belonging to British/Canada working at a senior level namely Stephen Petherbridge. She provided the 2nd annual Mel Hurtig Lecture at the University of Alberta highlighting on the Future of Canada in October 2007.
