
Lido Anthony Lee Iacocca mostly known as Lee Iacocca was born on 15th October in the year of 1924 in the city of Allentown in Pennsylvania. His parents were Nicola and Antonietta Perrotta, who came from Italy and got established in Steel generating state of Pennsylvania.
Lee Iacocca completed his graduation degree in the year of 1942 from Allentown High School which is presently known as William Allen High School and also completed his industrial engineering from the Lehigh University present in the city of Bethlehem in Pennsylvania. He is an active member of Theta Chi Fraternity.
He managed to win the Wallace Memorial Fellowship after completing his degree from Lehigh University. He at that point of time went to Princeton University and completed specialization in politics and plastics.
Lee Iacocca started his profession in the year 1946, as an engineer at Ford Motor Company. He was not satisfied with his work and soon changed his job and joined sales group in the company of Ford. He turned out to be good to the company as the sales increased and received promotions. He was finally promoted to the product development because of his continuous success in increasing the sales. In the year of 1978, he had to leave his post of a president in the company because of the differences with Henry Ford II.
Lee Iacocca is mainly popular as he re-introduced Chrysler Corporation. It was earning huge losses at that point of time and it was almost about to wind up its business activities. He was appointed as the President and CEO of the corporation from the year of 1978 and in the year 1979 he was declared as the chairman too, along with his previous designations. He finally got retired towards the termination of the year, 1992.
Apart from being a successful and popular business tycoon, Lee Iacocca also practiced law as a lawyer of U.S. trade exports in around 1980. He is also credited for his writing abilities as reflected in Where have all the Leaders Gone?. He also composed Iacocca: An Autobiography, with the help of the author William Novak.
