Fred Muster Stewart is an eminent novelist of the United Status. Some of his popular novels were adopted in various famous movies. One of his famous novels is “Century” which became the New York Times best-selling book. “The Mephisto Waltz” is another famous novel of Stewart whose story was adopted in a film.

This famous literary figure was born on September17, 1932 in Anderson. He had graduated in 1954 from the Princeton University. Though at the initial stage of his career he resolved to become a pianist, it was the success of his debut novel “The Mephisto Waltz”, which inspired him to pursue his career as a novelist. This novel was published in 1969 and was an instant hit. A motion picture was made based on the story of this novel. This helped Fred Mustard Stewart to arrest the attention of diverse types of readers. He got decent commercial success and positive feedback from the critics.

After getting accolades for his unique writing skill, Fred Mustard Stewart published two novels in quick succession. The Methuselah Enzyme and Lady Darlington were published in 1970 and 1971 respectively. Stewart caught the attention of the literary society by publishing the book “Six Weeks”.

It was his brilliant artistic inputs and his originality that helped this novel to win the hearts of thousands of readers all over the world. When a movie was made, based on the story of this novel, the famous actress- Mary Tyler Moore acted in the role of a mother whose is going to lose her daughter within a few days.

Fred Mustard Stewart’s novels possess some unique features that can easily attract the attention of a film producer. This is the reason why most of his novels were adopted in some famous movies. His minute description and his unique way of narrating story helped his novels to mesmerize a large number of readers. In 1983, Stewart published another novel titled “Ellis Island” in which he described various facets and problems of immigrant life. This novel gained positive response from the market and the story of this novel was adopted in a CBS ministries.

Fred Mustard Stewart had written novels on various on themes. Science fiction and horror are the two of the popular literary genres where he had displayed his mastery. Apart from that, he had also written some popular novels based on family life style. Some of his other famous novels are The Glitter and the Gold, Pomp and Circumstance, Lady Darlington, The Naked Savages etc. This famous literary figure died of cancer on February 7, 2007.
