Judaism is a prevalent religion practiced by the Jewish people. The main religious book of this religion is Hebrew Bible and it has around 13.2 million followers worldwide. A large section of the Jewish population is located in Israel and the rest of the population is residing in various parts of the world. Another revered religious book among the Jewish people is ‘Talmud’ and this book describes the basic religious doctrines of the Orthodox Judaism.

It is believed by the Jewish people that it is the concordat between Abraham and the God in the 2000BCE that formed this norms and codes of this religion. Abraham is the progenitor and the most revered spiritual leader of the Jewish population. The doctrines and the beliefs of Judaism had inspired many religions. In fact, Christianity, Islam etc were influenced by this religion.

One of the unique features of Judaism is that the whole authority of this religion is not inflicted to a particular group or a single spiritual leader. The Jewish population obeys the traditions and the sacred texts that are written in the Holy book. Moreover, the Jewish people believe in the generous and omnipotent God who is the creator and the ruler of the universe.

The tradition belief is that Moses, a Hebrew prophet, received Ten Commandments or Decalogue from the almighty God on the Mount Sinai. It was Moses who saved the Israelites from the attack of Egyptian King and this is known as the Exodus. The Ten Commandments, which were dictated by the God, are written in the Torah and Talmud. Judaism is generally monotheistic in nature. The similarity between Zoroaster and Judaism lies in that fact that both of them derived from the same source. They share the same beliefs of the eternal clashes between the good and the bad.

Judaism lacked a well-integrated doctrine previously and this is the reason why various spiritual leaders of this religion had interpreted a specific holy text from the Torah and Talmud in various ways. An interpretation of a holy text can be starkly different from the interpretation by another religious leader. The Thirteen principles of faith by the famous Spanish philosopher Maimonides is one of the authoritative and widely followed doctrines among large numbers of Jewish population. Though at the initial stage some Jewish communities negated these principles of faith, later it became the one and only doctrine among all Jewish communities. Judaism
