Aquatic Kept Ultra Aggressive Titan Triggerfish On Top of The Aquatic Food Chain

Many hobbyists have kept fish from livebearers to sharks. They range from small to large sizes. Some are colorful, and dull. What makes this hobby fun is the type of fish one has. An intense, extreme fish such as the Balistoides viridescens tops the list. Balistoides viridescens is the scientific name for the Titan Triggerfish. The Titan Triggerfish is a part of the marine family. This fish will bring the tightest attitude an aquarists wish to have.

This fish is generally found in the coral reefs in the tropical waters in Indo-West and Central Pacific. This includes the Red Sea, which is found to have many of the Triggerfish colorations. Some triggerfish have been found in the waters of the Australian sound. This includes the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, south to the central coast of New South Wales.

The Titan Triggerfish is known to be the largest triggerfish on the planet. They can grow up to 30 inches. Again, this fish will be well found in the great reefs underwater. Although they live in certain waters of the world, this fish can be kept in home aquariums. The Titan Trigger will carry the specifications similar to those of other fishes. The triggerfish will require a large aquarium, such as one of 2 X 6 feet. The temperature of the water ought to be in the tropical range. Note that cooler water slows down the fish grown and aggressiveness.

Titan triggers are carnivores. They feed mostly on meats with gusto. They can also feed on mollusks, crabs, shrimps, bivalves, urchins, and other invertebrates. Triggers can consume plants, which is necessary for their diet. To be convenient, hobbyists have used pellets to feed the fish. Triggers should be fed on a daily diet. Triggers don’t like to be hungry; otherwise, any tank mates will become food. Therefore, they should be fed until satisfaction.

The Titan triggerfish is part of a reef community. Yet, they can be quite aggressive. Some aquarists have seen them turn over rocks, and blowing into the sand, and breaking off coral reefs. With their enormous teeth, they can tear crabs and lobsters apart.

The Titan Trigger should not have any tank mates if placed in an aquarium. They do best in the tank with no other tankmates. If you happen to be someone who wants to enjoy several variations of fishes, then go at it. But this will be a risk, because you may need to spend plenty for several large fishes. Triggerfish
