Rolling Stones Tour Brian Jones Ian Stewart Mick Jagger Geoff Bradford Time Is On My Side

Among the most eminent English bands, the Rolling Stones hold a prominent place. The Band burst into the US music scene with the famous Rolling Stones Tour of 1969. It has the track record of performing successfully for the longest time in the music industry. They have entertained the music buffs and lovers of Rock and Roll for around 40 years. In the starting of their career, the band members focused on blues, rhythm and Rock and roll but gradually they shifted focus to genres like psychedelic, blues and country music.

This legendary band was set up in 1962 by Brian Jones who was a guitarist and Harmonica player. He was the leader of the band and appointed other members like Ian Stewart, Mick Jagger, Geoff Bradford. Another member named Keith Richards was invited by Mick. Ian played the piano while Mick was kept for vocals. Geoff had no penchant for Rock and Roll and was succeeded by Bill Wyman. This group was given a helping hand by another stalwart band ‘the Beatles’. The debut album of the band which was self titled came out in 1964. It proved to be an instant hit with the audience and this prompted the band members to undertake the Rolling Stones Tour of UK.

The sophomore album of the group was succeeded with a tour in the USA. They tasted success in this Rolling Stones Tour with their track titled ‘Time is on my side’. One track from the 3rd album of Rolling Stones named ‘Satisfaction’ made its way in the popularity charts after its release. The alliance of the band with Decca Records came to an end in 1969 and it made the group establish its indigenous recording company. There was a conflict between the lead members of the band, Mick and Richards after the 70’s. It continued for some time but the release of ‘Steel Wheels’ in 1989 resolved the conflict.

The deviation from Rock and roll was evident in the later albums of the band. This was evident in the songs of its 1996 album named ‘Progression’. The Rolling stones released an album titled ‘Between the Buttons’ in 1997 that vividly reflected the effects other groups exerted upon them. This band and its members often got mired in controversies during their career. Once in their career the band members were accused of borrowing heavily from the tradition of Beatles. However, it was the Rolling Stones Tours that helped the group to retain its fan base and consolidate its position in the music industry. Brian Jones
