AirTran Airlines Was Awarded As Best Domestic Low Fare Airline Headquarters In Orlando Florida

AirTran Airways refers to the low-cost airline belonging to Delaware corporation. AirTran Airlines has its headquarters in Orlando, Florida and is considered as the subsidiary of AirTran Holdings.

AirTran Airlines carries out the operation of 750 flights regularly and is comprised of 270 flights everyday from Atlanta. It is also regarded as the biggest Boeing 717 operator in the world. Its main hub is located at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The foundation of AirTran Airlines was laid in June 1993 and the operations began on October 26, 1993 in the form of Conquest Sun Airlines. It was again named as AirTran Airways in August 1994. AirTran right from October 1997 started with the giving away of seats on first come, first serve basis and further it also introduced Business Class seats in all its flights in a short span of time.

Earlier all its various flights highlighted an all-coach (all-economy class) configuration. AirTran Airlines turned up with a frequent flier program namely A+ Rewards in March 1998. It managed to receive an award as in June 1998 from Entrepreneur Magazine falling into the category of "Best Domestic Low-Fare Airline". It got this same award in the years 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005.

AirTran Airlines led to the launching of its services from Atlanta on December 12, 2000 to Grand Bahama Island, the first destination based internationally.
