Guppies are among the most popular fish to own. The tropical’s fish beautiful fancy colors bring joy to the aquarists for many years to come. The small males have a body length of about one inch, with a sport color on their bodies.

On their fins, they have various different colors too. The tail fins are often the same size as their bodies. Females are larger, up to 2 inches in length, and smaller fancy colors on their body.

The interest of fancy guppies began in the 1950s. The first veil talked guppy was developed by aquarist Paul Hahnel. This guppy has been seen with colors such as blue, yellow, green, and pastel colors. Another popular guppy is the albino red delta. This guppy has body covered with a chainlike or rosette pattern. Guppies are best in a communicated aquarium. Guppies make great community setups. They are peaceful and very lenient. It is very unlikely that guppies disturb other fishes. Since guppies are not able to stand up for themselves against other fishes, the tank must be situated with large amounts of plants. Guppies must be able to hide from other fishes when they feel scared. Good companions for guppies are neons, cardinals, tetras, harlequin rasboras, and even cherry barbs. Angelfish should be avoided, because they might nip on the guppy’s fins.

The guppy is the one of the most popular fish to own. With their great colors, and fancy tails, they bring joy to a hobbyist.
