Adele Parks is a UK based author for women’s fiction. She was born in England and was a student of English in The University of Leicester. Almost all of her seven novels have been bestsellers, and the landmark of her career was ‘Husbands’, which alone had a sale of 25000 copies.

Her other novels worth mentioning are Playing Away and The Other Woman’s Shoes, Larger than Life, Still Thinking of You, Young wives tales and Game Over. She is one of the rare authors after Shakespeare whose books have been translated in fifteen languages. Adele Parks started off as an English teacher in Italy. What prompted her to move there was her overexposure to the movies of Ivory Merchant that portrayed women who found true love and self identity in Venice.

Although she found none, she had a fabulous time. She returned to London in 1992 and pursued a career in advertising. Having successful ads like Wonderbra, Accenture and Levis to her credit, she rapidly climbed up the ladder of success. As a modern woman, she had to multi-task, looking after her career, managing the home front, working out at the gym and simultaneously penning down her first book Playing Away.

Adele Parks has served as the spokesperson for the World Book Day and has talked about favorite books and the preference for happy endings.
