Many of us use the internet today, and don’t realize what the internet is!
The internet is a network of networks. The internet links computers to computers in which to share the TCP/IP protocols. The TCP and IP run software to provide or serve information or access and view new information. The internet is a transport vehicle for the information stored in files or documents on another computer. The internet can be compared to an international utility which service computers. The internet can share information in a variety of forms.
No one actually controls the internet. Furthermore, there is no “Internet, INC”. In part, the internet is abound by few rules and not own by any organizations.
Protocols and standards are needed in many ways. Protocols are used by network host computers for exchanging router information. Also, protocols handle the address part of the data so that it gets to the right destination. In another words, the protocols are to delivery messengers of the internet.
Today, corporations and individuals use the internet by means of everything. Some use the internet for research, while others use the internet for reading the news, or shopping. Similarly, the World Wide Web is a place for communication and interaction.
The internet is a great place for emails, and instant messaging. Two different parties can exchange messages through the web and can instantly reply to messages in their email accounts. Although this process is rapidly increasing, the security of emailing is still an issue.
Another use of the internet is viewing steaming videos. Today, candidates of different campaigns use the internet to provide videos and send out messages to the voters. Moreover, not only are the videos used in politics, it is used in the academic field. Teachers and instructors use streaming videos to provide lectures for their students. Yet there are more and more uses of the internet, the most popular is file sharing. On the internet, two different parties can share a file without any obstacles. A file can be downloaded onto ones computer with easy access and confidence. On the other hand, the access to these files will be in the hand of the owner.
