
Paul David Goydos was born on June 20, 1964 and is a golfer playing at the professional level on PGA Tour as well as the Nationwide Tour. He was not only born and raised in Long Beach, California but has also spent most part of his life residing there.
Paul Goydos did went ahead and pursued his studies at Woodrow Wilson Classical High School, Long Beach State University and landed up as a pro in 1989. Initially he began as a mini-tour player and earnt his living by working as the substitute teacher as well. He also opted to play on the Nationwide Tour in the years 1991 and 1992 and landed up with success at the 1992 Ben Hogan Yuma Open.
Paul Goydos also managed to get the PGA Tour card for the year 1993 by being at the Qualifying School. He did also landed up with success at two PGA Tour events namely 1996 Bay Hill Invitational as well as the 2007 Sony Open. He has also got the possession of over five million dollars in the form of career earnings. The best finish he performed in a major was in the form of a T-12 playing at the 1999 U.S. Open.
In the year 2004, he unfortunately had just two starts that too towards the end of the year. The reason behind this was the sinus surgery as well as hip troubles he was suffering from. Paul Goydos further did carry out with his play in 2005 but under a Major Medical Exemption. He landed up with huge success at the Sony Open that took place in Hawaii in 2007 and as a result of this Goydos managed to reach in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings.
Paul Goydos further got induction in the inaugural class belonging to 1996 at the Long Beach State University Athletics Hall of Fame. He was the father of two kids namely Chelsea and Courtney. His older brothers were James Steven Goydos, who was a Surgical Oncologist as well as Associate Professor of Surgery working at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The other one was Peter Andrew Goydos, who carried out his practice as a Numismatist in Long Beach, California.
