Construction Equipment Accident Pictures Tilting Crane Collapse

My friend has a strange hobby. He loves to collect construction equipment accident pictures. One day, out of curiosity I asked him what was the specialty of this hobby and his reply left me dumbfounded. I know that pictures are worth countless words but in his care those pictures are worth millions. Allow me to veer a wee bit away from the topic of construction equipments. Im sure that one recalls the images of the 9/11 disaster in the States. What very few might not know is about the massive amount of information these images have provided to the investigators.

I the same way, construction equipment accident pictures help them who are investigating into the cause of the accident. A few months back, November the 16th, 2006 to be specific, a huge crane had collapsed at a construction site at Bellevue. Investigators, who are studying the images that had been taken days prior to the accident, can see that the crane was leaning for quite some time before it crashed. The department of State of Labor and Industries are trying to find out what was the reason for the crane tilting away from its center of gravity.

Normally cranes are constructed I such a way that they stay on their center of gravity despite the uneven base they stand on. If it was not for the construction equipment accident pictures, one could not have known that the crane in question was tilting dangerously. The investigations that are ongoing are fully based on this image. Many people are of the belief that if the people who had taken these images, and that includes the workers at the site itself, had relayed this information, the tragedy could have been averted.

According the persons who were working at the site, the crane which had been fixed on a concrete base on the 9th of September 2006 was creaking from the time it was installed. This sounds strange, because cranes that are set in concrete foundations are extremely rigid. The investigators who are probing the cause of the accident are holding interviews with people who had taken the construction equipment accident pictures.

According to construction experts, there is a leeway for tilting cranes. A tilt of 1 inch by the crane, for every 40 feet of height, is considered okay. According to this formula, this particular crane should not have tilted more than 5.25 inches, something which cannot be noticed by untrained human eyes. According to the construction equipment accident pictures, the tilt that led to the upturning of the crane was far more, nearly 36 inches. Crane
