Judas Priest Breaking The Law Heavy Metal Band Song From British Steel


Judas Priest is one of the most well known heavy metal bands from Britain. Breaking the Law was released by the band on their album British Steel in the 1980s. The song is one of the band's more songs, having a very catchy guitar riff opening. Judas Priest Breaking the Law song has become a part of the 40 Greatest Metal Songs of all times by the Channel VH1 at the rank 40.

The video of the Judas Priest Breaking the Law is an innovative one. Sitting in the back of a Cadillac and the roof being down, the Vocalist Rob Halford is seen singing. It appears that there was nobody behind the wheel of the car. He then meets guitarists K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton who are dressed all in black with guitar cases. They burst into a bank before they remove their disguises. Band bassist Ian Hill and drummer Dave Holland meet them inside the bank.

It is at this time the song Judas Priest Breaking the Law starts with the band members pointing their instruments towards the camera. The song video shows them trying to rob the bank with music as their weapon of choice. With them playing the guitars and the drums as loud as possible the customers and the bank staff members are besieged. There is a scene where the spectacle glasses of an old man cracks due to the noise level reached by the playing of the instruments.

During the starting of the song Judas Priest Breaking the Law, the Security guard of the bank was slumbering, who wakes up due to the noise caused. Halford was the one who opens the safe using only the power of their rock music that cracks open the safe. What he found was British Steel Gold Record Award. Taking the award, they leave the bank in the Cadillac. Next scene shows the Security Guard playing his fake guitar seeing the concert on the TV. With this the video ends.

There have been many performances of the Judas Priest Breaking the Law by the band. Since its release, the song had been one of the songs that the band had sung in most of their concerts. Their most notable performance of this song was in the VH1 Rock Honors show. From the original song performance to the performances of the song by the band today, many changes had taken place. They had added a guitar riff at the end of the song.

The pace of the song Judas Priest Breaking the Law had increased over time and there is a solo version that was released by Downing. Some Artists who have covered this song are Alter Ego X, Kristallnacht, Barcode, Pansy Division, The Junkyard Dogs, and The Meteors. Breaking the Law
