Barbara Park was born on 21st April 1947 in Mount Holly Township, New Jersey. She is an author of children's books by profession and mainly focuses her wok on childrens literature. She was the daughter of a merchant and a secretary, Doris and Brooke Tidwell. From the year 1965 to 1967, she went to Rider College and then completed her B.S. in the year 1969 from the University of Alabama. She tied marital knots with Richard A. Park in 1969. She has resided in Phoenix, Arizona for about 30 years and has two sons, Steven and David, who have both completed their college.
