U46 Elgin Area School District in Illinois With Preschool Center House Programs


U46 refers to the Elgin Area School District U46, which is a school district that is located in Illinois. It provides its facility to nearly about 90 square miles in the counties namely DuPage and Cook. It is considered as the second biggest school district in Illinois and the total number of children who fall under the school age were calculated to be nearly 40,000.

The various special programs that were organised by U46 includes Central School Programs, Center House, Preschool Programs, High School Academy Program that is a program for the talented students studying in High school. The Barlett High School of U46 was founded in the year 1997 with the slogan as Aude aliquid dign with a total of 2900 students as well as 160 faculty members and the Principal as Dr. Kevin Skinkis.

The Eastview Middle School was a junior school in Elgin Area School District U46 that began in 1970 and had a total of 1075 students and 58 staffs. Donnald Donner held the position of Principal and their mascot was the wolf. The Centennial Elementary School was inaugurated in the year 1992 with the mascot as an eagle. The total number of faculty was marked to be 60 providing educational facilities to 832 students guarded by the Principal namely Dr. Thomas Stiglic.

Tefft Middle School belonging to Elgin Area School District U46 was located in Streamwood village. The students getting education from Heritage as well as Parkwood Elementary Schools were shifted to Streamwood High School. It has an enrollment of 800 students with the Principal as Lavonne Smiley. This school organizes different kinds of programs like SWAS as well as Hard of Hearing (HOH). Their mascot was Trojan.

The Elgin High School in U46 was founded in the year 1869 with their motto as Education for all and the mascot as Maroons. It had 2,350 students as well as 211 faculty members with the Principal's position occupied by David Smiley. Its important alumni members included Paul Flory, the winner of Nobel Prize in the field of Chemistry in 1974 as well as the journalist namely Tom Shales, who achieved the Pulitzer prize in 1988.

The foundation of the Abott Middle School of U46 was laid in 1932 with the mascot Warrior and was comprised of 570 students and 33 faculties. The school has derived its name from the well known Elgin doctor namely Dr. Edward H. Abbott. The Principal of the school was Greg Schneider. U46
