William Norton Kennedy,also called as Billy or Bill Kennedy is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera namely Neighbours, by Jesse Spencer. He made his initial appearance in the year 1994 and was seen till the year 2000. He further turned up with a small cameo in Ramsay Street in 2005, which was a documentary created by Annalise Hartman.
Bill Kennedy got the sight of Ramsay Street in an auction, when his father Karl was going through No.28. Very soon he became friends with Hannah Martin and then came in association with Toadfish Rebecchi, who helped him to develop habits like smoking, stealing from shops as well as joyriding. He got involved for the first time with the female namely Nicole Cahill, who left him on account of the misbehaviour of Hannah at a parish dance.
After quite a few petty affairs, Bill Kennedy finally got the right choice and went ahead for sometime with Melissa Drenth, who tend to have a lot of passion for him. Bill did not only suffered with asthma problem but also had dyslexia as per the diagnosis. When Billy, Toadie came in contact with the twins namely Lance and Anne, they became close friends to the extent as cannot be separated under any circumstances. Bill got romantically involved with Anne and they were regarded as the golden couple residing in Ramsay Street.
The couple however faced difficulties for short span of time on the entrance of the half-brother's sister of Anne namely Caitlin into the scene as she openly revealed her feelings for Bill even infront of Anne and this separated them for a while. Bill Kennedy also had to face the sad separation of his father Karl and mother Susan though he supported his mother but still found it difficult to harbour a grudge against his father as he underwent the same situation himself.
Bill Kennedy after learning swimming skills took up the work of a lifesaver at the pool that was running locally. His dreams took shape in the year 2000, when he landed up with the proposal to be an apprentice for the famous woodworker namely Greg Mast that was based in Queensland. The only problem he faced was the separation form his beloved but to his pleasure, she also moved to uni which was at a close vicinity. At the onset of 2007, Anne became mother of the son, whom they named as Jackson Kennedy.
