5 Bite Diet For Fat Loss Obesity Overweight Solution

With the onslaught of junk food culture and sedentary life, obesity and overweight have become the most common diseases. And as they say, diseases make the medicine sell, so are the weight loss solutions, which have flooded the market. In fact a separate market has come up for health products and health solutions and it is growing every year. Trends come and trends go, some stay while some others vanish. A recent idea that has come up is the bite diet theory and it is now becoming popular as the Five bite diet.

In the 5 bite diet theory, you are supposed to restrict each of your meals to five bites. Off course you are also supposed to limit your food intake to four or five meals a day. It has been claimed that this will help you to develop healthy eating habits and shrink your stomach, removing all those unwanted pounds-all in 21 days.

5 bite diet, or in general the bite diet has been proposed by Joan Breibart who created the same along with registered dietitian Meredith Luce. She advises that counting bites instead of portions will quickly normalize your eating so you lose weight – and permanently. She also says that her plan helps people to revert to healthy eating habits that were in place before super-size meals, which unfortunately have taken place in our plates due to time pressures and modern lifestyles.

She advises that according to the bite based diet, you take two 12 to 16-bite meals and two made up of 18 to 22 bites. There is no snacking. But the plan allows for about nine extra bites over a week for desserts and garnishes. The 5 bite diet plan is a more rigorous version of the above. Now the question is, what is a bite? Breibart explains- Its what you can comfortably hold in your mouth and fit on your fork – and does not cause chipmunk cheeks. She further says that each meal must include one fluid that ought to be something that will raise your blood sugar – not water or diet soda. Somebody has even added a daily multivitamin intake to this plan. Her diet plan forbids any restriction on food items or drinks. You can have whatever you want- just count the bites appropriately.

The Five bite diet has drawn not-so-nice reviews from other dieticians and food/health critics. Some experts say that the bite diet is really another fad without much science to its foundation. Toronto home economist Mairlyn Smith calls it all smoke and mirrors while Mississauga registered dietitian Donna Bottrell says it is a bunch of hocus-pocus.They have rather advised that, to permanently lose weight, you must do it slowly by eating less food without starving yourself of enough calories and nutrients. Smith adds-I get upset when people say you can lose weight and get fixed in 21 days. That is just not true. There is no magic miracle. Answers
