The Insight Bowl is a division I-A post season American college football game that is sanctioned by the NCAA. It was started in 1989 in Arizona and was played at the Arizona stadium in Tuscon during the first decade. In 2000, the game was shifted to Bank One Ballpark (now known as Chase Field) in Phoenix. Six years later, the game once again shifted its ground to the Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, which falls under the Phoenix metropolitan area. Along with the venue, the game of 2006, also witnessed a change of its television broadcaster from ESPN to NFL Network.
