Times Person Of The Year Vladimir Putin Russian President
TIME has named Russian President Vladimir Putin as the Times Person of the Year for 2007. Vladimir Putin was born in Leningrad on October 7, 1952. He graduated with a degree in law from Leningrad State University, in the year 1975. He completed his Ph.D. degree in economics, at a later point of his life. In his early career he was inducted into the Russian Secret Service the KGB. Under the KGB, Putin was assigned to work in the erstwhile East Germany from 1985 -1990.
