Destinys Child was a Grammy-award winning popular R & B group. This hottest selling female group was originally a quartet, but later reduced to a trio. Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams are the members of this group. On June 12, 2005 when their tour came to an end the group declared their splitting in Barcelona .They would rather engage in their own individual careers in the fields of music, theatre, television, and film.

The group Destinys child began their career with Killing Time. This was used in the film Men in Black. Destinys Child released their self-titled debut album and got mixed reviews on February 17, 1998. The albums first single, No, No, No, had two absolutely different versions as No, No, No Part 1 and No, No, No Part 2. But Part 2 was thought as a remix of Part 1. The Fugees member Wyclef Jeans was part of it .It became number one on the Billboards Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. It also reached to #3 on the Hot 100 chart leading itself to Platinum. They were criticized as one –hit wonder R&B girl group after their second album. However, Destinys Child achieved 3 Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards in 1998.

Destinys Child returned to the studio for their new album. A new group of producers, as Kevin She'kspere Briggs, Rodney Jerkins, Dwayne Wiggins along with Chad Elliot, Daryl Simmons, and Missy Elliott and ghostwriters/songwriters Leli and Zimmerman worked with them. Music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine expressed his hope about the new album as he considered The Writing's on the Wall would represent their maturity as vocalists, and the wealthy, wide-ranging music created by those skilled, talented producers.

LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson were two members of the original quartet of Destinys child. They tried to come apart with manager Mathew Knowles. They alleged him for setting aside an unequal share of the bands profits, trying to control everything, and extreme partiality to his daughter. Though they never wished to leave the group but their relation suffered a set back.

They were utterly astonished to find the inclusion of two new members Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin in place of them. They were featured in the video for Say My Name premiered in February 2000. They sued both Knowles and their ex-co-singers in charge of disregard of partnership contracts. By this time Destinys Child was considered as a wonderful phenomenon of pop culture. Say My Name turned out to be the groups biggest single till date.
