Mars God of Wars was one of the ancient gods of the Roman mythology. People say that he was the son of Jupiter and Juno. The reason why he is considered as an important God to the Romans is that legends say he was the father of the founders of the city of Rome, Romulus and Remus. Thus to all the Romans, he is considered as their father and a protector.

As a matter of fact, Mars God of Wars is still worshipped and respected with the same amount of faith by the modern day Romans, as their ancestors had done all these years.
