God Deity Creator Of Universe Worshipped In Religions

God generally addressed as a deity is worshipped by monalarist and monotheistic religions that they consider to have created this entire universe. However theologians have classified God in various Conceptions including omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, omnibenevolence (which implies perfect goodness), eternal, divine simplicity and necessary existence.

God is also considered to be incorporeal, a personal being, the source of all ethic obligations and above all greatest conceivable existence. These concepts were strongly supported by scholars of Jewish, Muslim and Christian as well as the Augustine of Hippo, Maimonides and Al-Ghazali.

However many medieval philosophers have argued against the existence of God and have contradicted the view points of Scholar regarding Him. The Germanic word god has originated from the 6th century Christian Codex Argenteus. Many sources even states that the capitalized word God comes from Ulfilas which is a Gothic translation of New Testament which was used to address Greek Theos. Though there is lot of differences among religions like Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, the Bahai Faith but still the English meaning of the God remains the same for all of them. The name of Him may resemble many monotheistic deities like the early monotheism of Zoroastrianism and Akhenaten.

God is known through different names in different languages like in Sanskrit it is called Ishvara, in Arabic it is Allah, in Latinate it is Deus, Hebrew it is El and in Judaism it is known as Yahweh which is addressed to religions henotheistic origin. In monotheistic currents of Hinduism God is known through specific names like Shiva, Vishnu (Krishna), Shakti and many others depending on personal nature of God. There are nearly 99 names of God in Quran and millions of names in Hinduism so it is hardly possible to restrict Him under some specify names.

Many Scientists are still doubtful about the existence, nature and properties of God and ask whether His existence can be chemically tested or gauged. Scientists like Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins and others have given their own perspective in grounds of His existence. Stephen has given his own philosophy which he has named as non-overlapping magisteria (NOMA) for His existence. According to him the existence of God or any supernatural happenings are non-empirical and subject to theology while Science should be applied only in discussing empirical questions.

Richard Dawkins on the other hand considers the existence of God as an empirical question on the fact that the present Universe would be totally different from the Universe where there is no existence of Him and it would lead to a scientific difference. However according to scientism any non-empirical question which cannot be answered by science is not worth asking and makes no sense on the basis that only empirical questions makes sense and should be paid attention.
