Horse Mating Breeding To Produce High Quality Racing Stallion Mare

Horse Mating is a process of copulating horses of high-quality breeds to produce offsprings of superior genetic make-up. Horse mating is of particular significance to horse racers and patrons. Selective mating results in the production of the offsprings endowed with strong genetic characteristics of both the parents. Superior breed of horses can be raced well.

To take part in horse mating, superior stallions are fetched from the world over and bred. It is seen that greater the genetic difference between the mating couples, the stronger their direct descendant will be in terms of physical strength and mental skills. Horse mating has achieved industry dimensions and the people initiating the mating process, are very methodical in their work. They make enquires about the horse breeds available from the directory listings.

In horse mating it is very important to understand the horse psychology and its favorable copulation times. It cannot be forced according to the breeders choice. Moreover it is seen, that when there is mood disharmony between the copulating couples, violence and injury may occur. The unreceptive mares may actually start kicking and flinging their limbs in the air, while the more composed ones may start of with warning signals. Hence it is a rule of the thumb that horses should be encouraged to mate only when they themselves are receptive to the idea.

Receptive behavior and foreplay signals are to be looked out for in horse mating. If on being brought into proximity, both the horse and the mare start sniffing and nuzzling each other then it has to be understood that, they are ready to mate. The female horse shows her receptivity by exhibiting her reproductive organs, by passing reproductive discharges and also assuming positions for facilitation of copulation.

A well defined pre-mating behavior is to be looked out for, because many timers it happens that the animals may show only some signs on the first day of their probable period, and exhibit more clear mating behavior in the later days. Contrarily some initial receptivity signals may not mean the desire to go for a full-fledged mating process. Hence horse mating is also a process requiring great expertise in dealing with the mating preferences of horses.

When the partners are really prepared for the mating process, their reproductive organs should be cleaned, to avoid filth and dead tissue from coming into contact with the reproductive fluids. People with whom the animals are comfortable should do this expertly. In order to avoid injuries by an aggressive animal, protective gloves and helmets can be worn. Horse mating can be done in a riding ring, a pen or a paddock. Distance should be maintained between the animals before the process to avoid inconvenience caused by the love-struck animals going out of control. Horse mating
