Princess Diaries 2 Sequel By Garry Marshall

Princess Diaries 2 is a movie which was released in the year 2004 and is the sequel to Princess Diaries which was released in 2001. The movie is directed by Garry Marshall and distributed by Buena Vista Pictures. The movie was released in August 11, 2004.

To portray their characters from the first Princess Diaries film Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews, Hector Elizondo, and Heather Matarazzo returned as Princess Mia Thermopolis, Queen Clarisse Renaldi, Joe and Lilly Moscovitz, respectively. To produce the sequel there was a return of Debra Martin Chase. Princess Diaries 2 also included some new characters that included Viscount Mabrey, Lord Nicholas Devereaux and Andrew Jacoby.

To take the position of her grandmother as a queen in the movie Princess Diaries 2 Mia Thermopolis who is twenty one years old as well as a college graduate journeys to Genovia. She prepares herself to take the throne by taking continuous lessons on ways of royalty. But she being an unmarried heir to the throne was given a time of 30 days to find herself an eligible husband.

Next in the movie Princess Diaries 2 to stop Genovia falling into dirty hands all Mia could think of was an arranged marriage and she buries her fantasies of true love. A twenty five year old British pilot Andrew Jacoby is whom she chooses after going through a long list, who also has a love for photography. However this is not liked by Mabrey and he plans to get her married to his nephew Nicholas in order to get to the throne.

In Princess Diaries 2 after the first meeting between Nicholas and Mia in her birthday ball they actually do fall in love. But due to misunderstandings Mia believes that she was set up by Nicholas and decides to marry Andrew whom she believed was her duty to her country. But the last minute she changes her mind about marrying Andrew. Also to inherit the throne she makes a motion to abolish the prohibition on unmarried Queens Regnant.

She is then claimed as unorthodox by Mabrey who tries to take advantage of the situation but in the main time his nephew Nicholas arrives and acknowledges Mias right to the throne and also denounces his uncles claims. Next in Princess Diaries 2 the wedding is canceled and the prohibition removed by the parliament.

The scenes of slowly changing Genovia under Mias rule and her coronation as Queen of Genovia is how the movie ends where Nicholas also confesses about his feelings. Princess Diaries 2 although not as a big success as the first was a box office hit. Anna Hathaway played the much significant role of Mia in the film whereas Chris Pine played the role of her true love in the form of Nicholas. Royal_Engagement
