Jenna Edwards Miss Florida Miss Teen Winner

Jenna Edwards is a beauty queen from Brandon, Mississippi. She won the title of Miss Florida and Miss Florida USA titles. At the Miss America beauty pageant of 2005 she represented Florida. She also represented the Miss USA 2007 pageant.

Jenna Edwards was born on July 29 in 1981 in Brandon, Mississippi. She grew up in Clinton, Mississippi. In 1999 she became a graduate from Central Hinds Academy. She spent two years of her life at Mississippi College and then transferred to the University of Miami. From this University she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication Studies and English Literature.

Jenna Edwards competed in the Miss Mississippi Teen USA pageant in 1998 and 1999. She stood as first runner up for both the years. The first major title that she won was Miss Teen All-Americans in 1999.

In next two years (2000 &2001) Jenna Edwards became the official hostess or the entertainer in the function of the Miss Teen All-American. She won the Miss Oktoberfest Pageant in 2000. To win this pageant she beat the future Miss USA Shandi Finnessey.

On the September of 2002 Jenna Edwards won the Miss University of Miami preliminary title. After that in mid 2003 she competed for the Miss Florida. Erika Dunlap won the title of this event.

Jenna Edwards later won another preliminary title Miss Winter Park in 2004 and competed at the state pageant of the same year. In this pageant she won both preliminaries of swimsuit and the evening gowns and was crowned Miss Florida 2004.

Jenna Edwards returned to the pageant stage in April 2006 and won the title Miss North Miami USA. This was a preliminary for Miss Florida USA. On 15th July 2006 Edwards competed for the Miss Florida USA 2007 title. She became the winner of the title. She was the third Miss Florida to win the Miss Florida USA crown.

Jenna Edwards represented Florida at the Miss USA pageant, which was held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 23, 2007. But she became unable to win the title. On 14th July 2007 she passed her Miss Florida USA title on Jessica Rafalowski.

Jenna Edwards is famous for her charity, which she has started recently. She is working for Queen for a Day. It is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 to help the young cancer patients. The organization allows them to dress up and crowns them Queen for a Day.

The aim of the organization is to encourage local people to host part days for the girls suffering from cancer. Oprah Winfrey has featured Jenna Edwards and her charitable trust in her show. Peoples Magazine also covered it on March 2002. They won the Commitment to Kids Award in 2001 sponsored by Ford Motor Company.
