Every four years in the United States primary elections are held to start the process of choosing the Democratic and Republican nominees for the presidential elections. A number of state-wise political party takes part in the poll. The New Hampshire primary is the first election for that purpose and is held in New England state of New Hampshire. It is identified with the launch of the quadrennial US presidential election. However, in 2007 both the Republican and Democratic National Committees tried to move in favor of the bigger states to have more influence in the presidential poll.
