
Being born on 1954, Cindy Lou Hensley is a business tycoon and a philanthropist. Besides being the second wife of Senator John McCain of United States, she is also the chair person of Hensley and Company which she has inherited from her father. She has also established American Voluntary Medical Team. In 2000 she had actively supported her husbands unsuccessful campaign for President of the United States and even in the years 2007-08. Cindy had even been selected as the chair of the Arizona delegation to the Republican National Convention in the year 2000. She also works as a board of directors in number of non-profit organizations like HALO Trust, Operation Smile and CARE.
Cindy Lou Hensley had grown up in Arizona and was the angelic daughter of James Hensley and Marguerite Hensley. Her parents had established the Hensley and Company which is one of the largest distributors of Anheuser Busch all over the world. She completed her primary education from Meadows Elementary and Central High School located in Phoenix. She had achieved her undergraduate degree in education and masters in special education from Southern California University. After completing her graduation she tried her hands in teaching career and taught at Aqua Fria High School situated in Avondale, Arizona.
Cindy Lou Hensley had been married to John McCain in 1980 who then worked as a U.S. Navy liaison officer for the United States. Cindy is a mother of seven children, four of her own and three from the first marriage of John McCain. The names of her children are James (Jimmy), Meghan, John IV (Jack), Bridget, Sidney, Andy and Doug. Out of her seven children Bridget is her adopted child whom she had brought from Bangladesh while she was visiting at Mother Teresas orphanage. There she came across two young girls whom she thought that they needed medical ailment so she brought them to United States with herself. One she had adopted and the second one she helped her family friend Wes Gullett to adopt her.
Cindys son James had been selected in the Marine Corps in 2006 and has already started his training from September 2006. In 1988 Cindy Lou Hensley had established a non-profit organization called Arizona Voluntary Medical Team, or AVMT. This organization is meant to send doctors and nurses to other countries at the time of crisis occurring in countries like Micronesia, El Salvador, Bangladesh and Nicaragua. Being a patient of high blood pressure she had a stroke on April 2004. However she had completely recovered from it now.
Cindy Lou Hensley had ruined her life by getting addicted to painkillers like Vicodin and Percoret. She herself admitted that she had been taking these drugs since 1989 by stealing them from the American Voluntary Medical Team which is a non-profit medical relief charity. She has paid a lot for this. Currently she is taking measures to control her addiction. But still she is very benevolent woman and people love her despite of the fact that she is addicted to drugs. Her contributions and work for the society will always be remembered.
