Austin Powers Mike Myers 1960s Spy Films Series


Portrayed by Mike Myers Sir Austin Powers is an imaginary character. The spy films series featured in the 1960s. The character of Austin Powers was born on November 12, 1939. Michael Caine plays the role of his father Nigel Powers.

Much to the woe of his brother, Austin Powers was rewarded as the International Man of Mystery. Doctor Evil is the person against whom Austin is after. After his schooling, Powers joined the Ministry of Defense and, united with Mrs. Kensington. They devotedly protected Queen and country from Dr. Evil and his diabolical schemes while working for a fashion photographer. To avoid being caught by Dr. Evil he changed his identity in the year 1967.

Austin Powers only thought of coming back if the world required his services from the evil deeds of Dr. Evil. He is being related with James Bond on many occasions and also possesses same sharp qualities and the sixth sense of the former. On several occasions he removes off his clothes, and exposes his extremely hairy body, with his hair on chest in the form of a heart. This also resembles the act in many of Sean Connery's shirtless scenes. A few of his abilities contain a type of hypnosis technique he mastered when in India from Guru Shastri, who however, died from a mystery disease.

Austin Powers was featured in the music video for Beautiful Stranger composed by Madonna, which was released next to his second film. He also appeared in the Boys music video by Britney Spears. In the film Dhoom, one of the members of the team introduces himself as an IT specialist named Austin Powers for creating amusement. With his colorful ways and never-changing dress-sense, he is consciously made to fix out from his environment predominantly when he speaks about things that would have had no place in the 1990s.

In the feature film, Never Been Kissed, at the time of the costume party we saw a person in the background wearing clothes as Powers. In the British T.V. comedy The Office, David Brent wore an Austin Powers set of clothes while taking part in a dating game. These all instances clearly show the popularity that Austin has able to create. His movies had the impact on every generation of people. The combination of thrill with comedy makes all his movies all the more engrossing. So it can be said that Austin Power rules. Whether you like him or not, you cannot ignore him. Austin Powers
