Tony Harris Emmy Award Journalist

Tony Harris is a journalist of United States who works as television reporter and news anchor. Since September 2004 he has been working for CNN in United States. Harris works with Heidi Collins as a co-anchor in the first section of each days CNN Newsroom since 4th September, 2006. He has grown for his excellent anchoring among his fans.

Tony Harris was born and bred up in Baltimore, Maryland and achieved his B.A degree from his hometown. Being a graduate in English from the University of Maryland in Baltimore County, he had efficiently used his talents in journalism. He had even tried his hands in radio disc jockey while he was just 19 years. After two years he left his job as radio disc jockey and went to Cleveland, Ohio to work as television reporter for an afternoon newsmagazine. His lifes journey as a journalist took a start and he struggled hard to become a co-host on the show.

Thereby Tony Harris was given an opportunity to work as an entertainment reporter for Entertainment Tonight and the Home Box Office in New York City. In 1990s he came back to Cleveland once again to co-anchor weekend news. Again he came down to New York and Los Angeles to work as a reporter for Fox Network as a prime time Front Page newsmagazine.

Tony Harris career reached its peak when he was called in his hometown Baltimore to work for local news as a lead anchor for WNUY and WBEF. He had even toured in Atlanta, Georgia for WGCL-TV to be its lead anchor. Before he joined the CNN Newsroom to work as an anchor he had already co-anchored with Betty Nguyen in CNN Saturday Morning and CNN Sunday Morning.

Tony Harris has also worked as an anchor in many weekday news programs like American Morning and CNN Live Today Live From….. but all these programs have been folded by Newsroom. Currently he is co-anchoring with Heidi Collins in Newsroom and gain publicity for being probing and thoughtful. He is even well-known for having a great sense of humor which he utilizes in adding spices to his daily new stories.
