
A very athlete and softball player, Jennie Finch was born on September 3, 1980. She occasionally uses her husband's name i.e. Daigle. She is regarded as the most softball player, of all time, through out her country. She was a pitcher for USA Softball team in the year 2004 and her team won the gold medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Jennie Finch was born in La Mirada, California. When she was five years old she started playing softball. She studied at La Mirada High School. She was selected four times in softball team of her school. She was even selected twice for both basketball and volleyball teams of her school. When she went to the senior section of her school she was selected as the captain of all the three sports team.
It was a big honor for Jennie Finch when she was considered as an All-CIF Div. II choice in the softball team and for the All-Suburban League selection. Her first pitching coach was her dad, Doug Finch. He is basically the inventor of the Finch Windmill. This arm-conditioning device has proved to be very useful and has been in demand for the last fifteen years.
Jennie Finch has even represented the University of Arizona in the game of softball. She has won the Honda Award for being the Player of the Year when she was the member of the Wildcat softball team. She was also first baseman and three-time All-American pitcher. She sported the jersey, which had the number 27 in it. It was also a co-incidence that it was the date of her parents' first date.
Jennie Finch retired from the University of Arizona on May 9, 2003. Her farewell party was organized at the Hillenbrand Stadium. With her pitching the American team was able to get the gold medal. She also appeared on Spike TV with Bill Romanowski, Dan O'Brien, Muggsy Bogues and Bo Jackson for the first season of Pros vs. Joes. She was the first woman to appear on the show.
Jennie Finch got married to Casey Daigle on January 15, 2005. He was a pitcher at the Arizona Diamondbacks. Their marriage took place at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. Their son, Ace, was born on May 4, 2006. Their second child, Shane Daigle, was born in Tucson, Arizona.
The ESPN conducted an on line poll and Jennie Finch defeated Anna Kournikova and got the title of most attractive female athlete. She had even modeled in a swimwear for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2005-06. Finch also appeared on one of the episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which was telecasted on December 18, 2007. It has now been made public that Jennie will be featured as a contestant on the new celebrity edition of The Apprentice.
