Post Punk Kitchen Vegan TV Show Brainchild Of Isa Chandra Moskowitz

Post Punk Kitchen is the brainchild of the versatile Isa Chandra Moskowitz, who has written a number of hit paperbacks on vegan cooking. In this show, the hosts cook mouth-watering vegetarian recipes, in the backdrop of punk rock music. This show was broadcast by Public Action Television at Brooklyn and Manhattan from the years 2003 to 2005.

Isa hosted Post Punk Kitchen, along with Terry Hope Romero. She shot the show in her Prospect Heights kitchen at Brooklyn. Presently, a great Vegan cooking wizard, the multifaceted Isa, along with Terry, would cook up Vegan baked items, sauces, sushi, curries and a host of other items while punk rock bands like Made Out of Babies and The Cuban Cowboys played in the background. Maybe, the music was expected to help in making the dishes more palatable.

The first episode of Post Punk Kitchen, Sushi and Cupcakes, you will find stomach blowing vegan sushi being baked with an equally stomach blowing chocolate-orange cup cakes. This episode was shot before introducing the music artist guests, so it was just Isa and Terry rocking away while preparing the recipes. The second episode Love Bites, has Made Out of Babies, the most metal, punk, girl, boy band of Brooklyn, making some of the most delicious sweet potato crepes and chocolate parfaits.

On the third episode, the Passover of Post Punk Kitchen you can smack your lips over Matzollah Ball Soup and Coconut Cream Pie with the Stupid Rockin band. The 4th episode, Mexcellente, shows the making of an excellent Mexican piñata with the Cuban Cowboys. Vegan Sushi, vegan baked items, Chewy Chocolate, Ceylon Tofu Curry, Basic Mariana Sauce, Pumpkin Waffles are some of their best recipes. The ingredients are simple and easily available.

Isa Chandra Moskowitz authored some of the best vegan cookbooks titled Vegan with a Vengeance, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The world and Veganomicon. Jewelry designing, web designing, managing co-operatives, working as a hotel staff were her career stunts, the most recent being the vegan cooking spree. This inspired her to create Post Punk Kitchen.

The co-host of Post Punk Kitchen, Terry Romero is a metal head girl from Connecticut. Mention must be made of Claudia Amaya who is the Cameraperson of the show. She is the co-Executive Director of The Latin American Cinema Festival, New York and works with the Educational Video Centre. The show was edited by Niharika Desai, who is also reputed for editing SHARKS. Liliana Fasanella, at the camera has award winning recognitions to her credit.
