
Debra Williams was born on 2nd March, 1960 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Along with being an actress, she was also a professional wrestling manager and WWE Diva. She soon became very popular by her ring name, Debra. She appeared in WWE in the years 1998 to 2002. In 1984, Debra also won a beauty pageant and was runner-up for Miss Texas USA.
She was brought up in West Blocton and was a track runner as well as a cheerleader. Then she went to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York. Before joining World Championship Wrestling she was a flight attendant. Debra Williams used to stand on the entrance ramp and cheered for many wrestlers including Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage etc when they came in the ring. She again joined Jarrett the World Wrestling Federation in 1998.
At the beginning of her career, Debra was a sharp businesswoman. She used to wear only business suits and had a stern face with an occasional smile. Debra Williams helped Jarrett to win match through cheating. Goldust declared a wrestling match in which he decided that if Jarrett won, then Goldust would have to strip nude, but if Goldust won, Debra would have to strip. Debra often played mind games with Goldust by flashing him in order to draw his attention.
In between the match, Debra Williams banged guitar on Goldusts head, so that match can go in Jarretts favor. This led to the disqualification of Jarrett by the WWF rules, and according to the challenge, Debra stripped. As she was about to do so, the wrestler Blue Blaze came into the ring and protected her. In many matches, she opened her blouse to draw the attention of Jarretts adversaries. By this method, they won against The Big Bossman and Ken Shamrock.
In 1999, Debra Williams fought her first match in the WWF. She lost the match because she was disqualified for banging guitar on her opponents head. In her WWF career, she won the Women's Championship in an Evening Gown Match. Her relationship with Jarrett began to ruin because he started considering Debra responsible for his loosing many of the matches.
She also played the role of Ring Announcer for the World Tag Team Championship in 2000. Debra Williams married Stone Cold Steve Austin on September 6, 2000. Later, in 2002, Austin got arrested on the charges of domestic abuse and the couple got divorced in 2003. In 1994, she acted as a policeman in a movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation. She hosted the Teen Choice Awards in 1999.
She also made her appearance on a television show like Mad TV, British talk show GMTV. In 2007, Debra Williams played a small role in a film Resident Evil: Extinction.
Debra Marshall
