Texas Bowl College Football

The United States of America conduct multiple football games and the Texas Bowl is one of them. It is speculated to be one of the best college football competitions. It is held prior to the main season. It is sanctioned by NCAA and it is a Division 1 FBS bowl which was held for the first time in 2006. The venue was in Houston, Texas.

Prior to the Texas Bowl the Houston Bowl was played annually from 2000 to 2005. The outstanding talents present in the competition are by far the best in any bowl. Currently the Rutgers holds the championship by defeating Kansas State. Due to the low funds of the Houston Bowl it was removed on December 31st 2005. The name and logo of the Bowl was changed and the new name was unveiled on August 10th 2006.

The Texas Bowl in 2006 featured the teams from the Big 12 and from the Big East Conference. The director David Brady was pleased to be present at the debut match and hoped for a long term contract and multiple financers. It is speculated that Conference USA would be sending one team to the bowl in 2007. As per the rules of this agreement Conference USA would receive $612,500 and the Big 12 would receive $750,000 for playing.

The launch of the new bowl has brought about many changes in teams such as The Cougars who will have an interim head coach. The Texas Bowl has attracted immense media attention and the fans want to see it on TV, therefore the NFL network will be showing the games which will be originally sponsored by Radio Shack. Year 2007 saw many other sports changes but the innovative style of the Bowl was no match for any other sports.

During the first year of the Texas Bowl in 2006, media frenzy escalated to new heights. On December 19th the Time Warner Cable was to hold the games in the NFL Network. On December 22nd the deal was finalized. But due to this the Rutgers fans in New York and New Jersey would not receive live broadcast of the game due to abolition of cable television from these states. Therefore multiple solutions later it was decided to be put on pay per view.

The 2007 Texas Bowl had its share of feudal temperaments; with fans around USA asking for free live telecast but was unable to get it. Many of these games were missed by New Jersey natives through cable. The first time that the event was televised many problems had sprung up. Technical, financial and environmental problems seized the start of the game for a long time. Side reporters were missing so the game couldnt be reported to the newspaper. Texas Bowl
