MaryLand Football Terrapins

The Maryland Football is played by the Maryland Terrapins. They play for the University of Maryland and hence, qualify as a college football team. This team has a number of players who have won prestigious awards in individual capacity. The Maryland Terrapins play in the NCAA Division I-FBS games. The Atlantic coast Conferences Atlantic Division also takes players from the Terrapins.

The Maryland Football coach, Ralph Friedgen got the Consensus National coach of the year award in the year 2001. In the year 2002, E.J. Henderson won the Chuck Bednarik Award. He also bagged the Dick Butkus Award in 2002. In 1974, Randy White won the Lombardi Award. He also won the Outland trophy in the same year. Dick Mozelewski won the Outland trophy in 1954.

An account of the Maryland Football performance against Oregon State, in the year 2007, shows that Emerald Bowl Match that was that was held at the AT&T Park just some days ago. Though the Terps had opened the match impressively, the Oregon Sate won over the Marylanders with a 21-14 margin. The three games win of the Marylanders under their coach Ralf Friedgen was put off by the Oregon team under Mike Riley.
