Born on 29th November, 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland, Anna Faris is a American actress. She was christened as Anna Kay Faris. She is most popularly known for her role of Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie films. On October 13, 2007, she won the Stonette of the Year Award at High Times Magazines Stony Awards in Los Angeles.

Anna Faris started acting at a very young age as she was encouraged by her parents. She was too fond of watching plays and more often produced some of them with all the neighborhood children. She stepped on to her professional career at nine years of age, when she got a job at the Seattle Repretory theatre. She attended Edmonds Woodway High School and later majored in English Literature at the University of Washington.

Anna Faris achieved her maiden important role in films, when she was cast in the independent production Lovers Lane, in the year 1999. She achieved her major breakthrough on the big screen, when she signed by Keenen Ivory Wayans who casted her in Scary Movie, in 2000. In order to do justice to the role, Anna dyed her hair from naturally blonde to black and appeared in a fresh new look.

Anna Faris was again cast in Scary Movie 2. She acquired huge popularity when she continued to play the character of Erica in the final season of the famous TV series, Friends. She also appeared in the highly acclaimed film titled, Lost in Translation. In the year 2005, Anna was cast alongside Ryan Reynolds in the film, Waiting… She again appeared with him in Just Friends.

Anna Fariss career heated up and she gained huge name and recognition with the role of LaShawn Malone in 2005 film titled, Brokeback Mountain. She drew immense fan following when she was co-starred with Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson in the film, My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006). Currently she is working on the comedy, Kids in America. Anna Faris is the daughter of Karen and Jack Faris. She grew up in Edmonds, Washington. She married Ben Indra in 2003, whom she met on Lovers Lane sets and dated since 1999. On 3 April, 2007, she filed a divorce for separation. She never takes anything for granted and possess an intelligent head on her shoulders.
