Toronto Born Magician James Randi

Toronto Born Magician James Randi is best known for his role as a challenger of paranormal claims as well as pseudoscience. Apart from being a stage magician he also gained fame as a scientific skeptic. Born on 7th august in the year of 1928, he started his career as a magician. Later, however, he became a debunker of the paranormal. This magician also expanded his research to the levels of paranormal, skepticism as well as history of magic apart from writing book for children.

The interest of the Toronto Born Magician in magic came as an after impact of a bicycle accident that compelled him a body cast of thirteen months. During this period, he took up several books of magic deciding his future plan to be a magician. After the rest of thirteen months, the biggest magic happened in his own life when he walked again in spite of the worries of the doctors that he will never be able to walk again.

The Toronto Born Magician started performing on stages from the years of 1946 when he performed as a magician as well as escapologist. He performed several stunts escaping from jails as well as safes. On 7th February in the year of 1956, he appeared for the first time in a live show The Today Show. In this show he made a record of remaining sealed inside a metal coffin submerged in the swimming pool of a hotel for hundred and four minutes.

From the years of mid sixties, this Toronto Born Magician appeared as a host of his own show The Amazing Randi Show that was aired by the New York Radio Station WOR Radio. Apart from this show, he showed his face in several television shows and went for several world tours. He also appeared in television show Wonderama from the year of 1967 till the year of 1972. He referred magic as mutual trust in abracadabra, a British conjuring magazine.

Apart from showing magic, this Toronto Born Magician established a trust called James Randi Educational Foundation in the year of 1996. This trust sponsors a million dollar challenge to anyone who can prove the evidence of any kind of paranormal, supernatural as well as occult power or event.
