Survivorman Travel Show

Survivorman is a reality travel show of television, in which the host Les Stroud travels in some remote places with many difficulties. The program has been broad-casted in Canadas Outdoor Life Network as well as in The Discovery Channel and The Science Channel of United States. The program informs the adventure-loving people about unfamiliar locations through out world and it also shows how to survive in remote tough places.

It is the one-hour show, where the program viewed for 44 minuets. In the Survivorman the anchor cum director cum producer Les Stroud spend at least a week in the remote places. In every episode Stroud put himself in the very difficult situation of unique places with a very little amount of food and drink. The motive of the program is to show, how a man alone survive in tough situation and does he arrange food, water and some times fire to survive.

Generally Les has been dropped in the particular places in the Survivorman with a-pare of cases for camera and multi tools harmonica, little food and water along with his cloths. He is often carrying a satellite phone to be safe in the emergency. Without his Trusty Harmonica he doesnt go anywhere. With the help of it he have made some crucial problems easier, like at the time of car disorder in the desert he remained cool from mind and solved the problem courageously.

At the beginning of the show it did not successful, because the technique was not appropriate. At that time Les Stroud went at the places without much information and he misjudged the weather and local people some times. Then in the problem period he did nothing but waiting for rescue. People did not like this attitude and the Survivorman remained non-popular as well as unfamiliar to them. After acknowledge the problems Stroud is being calm through out the program and solve the problems with a cool brain.

Les is a flora and fauna expert, so he can solve some problems with his vivid knowledge. To make the program successful and more adventurous Les and his mates traveled in so many places and handled many difficult situations. In the Cook Island (the sole island into the pacific) some poisonous and stone fishes remained, les handled them with a little instruments and through brain. In some very cool places like Labrador and Alaska and worm places like Kalahari the Survivorman survived successfully with a nominal protection.

The program has been made as film and some fellow men like David Brady help Les a lot. But all the vital actions shot by Stroud himself as well as he recorded the each episodes contents. Some voice-overs and concluding speeches have been recorded in the studio. Les Stroud is the heart of the program Survivorman, for which he has been traveled a lot over the world.
