Bowhead Whale Endangered Artic Whale
The Bowhead Whale is also known as the Greenland right whale or the arctic whale, as it is found in the icy waters of the Arctic Ocean. It has been hunted nearly to extinction. The bowhead is so named because its huge jaw is curved like an archers bow. Within the jaw are massive baleen plates, which are bony structures with a sieve-like fringe that act as strainers when the whale feeds.

Japan is all set to sail for its annual Antarctic Whale Hunt in which it has decided to kill a lot of whales. The fleet is now ready to leave the port for its annual whale hunt in Antarctica. As per the report from the fisheries officials they are going to hunt nine hundred minke whales and fifty fin whales, ignoring the protest from the environmental groups.
