Quints are one of the most talked about movies in the recent times. It has been discussed widely in the media circuit as a movie which ahs been able to go beyond the child psyche and enter into the complex world of children. It is a movie thats likely to premier on the Disney channel.
Quints talks about an only child Jamie Grover. She is an adorable child who has been the center of her parents world for 13 years and has received much love, attention as well as pampering to an extent. This all changes one day when her mom announces that she is expecting quintuplet. Jamie at the moment is in a loss and she is a person who must learn to share the spotlight.
Quints thus in the later stages of plot talks about the mental stages of this girl Jamie. Her initial response is one of relief. She is delighted to be able to escape her parents attention for sometime and what basically excites her is that she will no longer have to bear strict supervision. In fact one of the most interesting aspects of the movie is that the protagonist often turns to the camera to offer wry observations on the changes at home and the direction of her life. In the initial stages we see that the quits instantly occupy every waking moment and every thought of the world of the parents of Jamie Grover.
Thus as the plot in Quint proceeds we see that she is no longer the center of attention especially after her parents manage to in the prestigious Governors Parents of the Year award. Her achievements thus go unnoticed and it is only then Jamie begins to feel the pinch. She then in the movie starts getting neglected and unappreciated, particularly when her parents miss her parent-teacher conference and forget about her big art show at school.
Quint is exceptional in a way that in this the premise has been brought to the stage before but this was never done so with so much wit and clarity. It in a true sense captures the childs world. The role of the protagonist is played by Kimberly J. Brown. She has also won accolades for her performance in 1999s theatrical release Tumbleweeds. In this movie she surpasses her acting talent and what sets her apart is her intense expression and natural charm. This is an extremely entertaining movie and what it gives is a lesson is that one should never give up and it is always better to be a giver than a taker.
